Here are a few quick clips from our vacation to Portugal last year. Great place to visit, especially when your wife speaks the language!

Since I’ve been awake at odd hours while Liz nurses I’ve gone ahead and overhauled our web gallery to be better integrated into the web site. Hope it works well for folks.

We’re settling down for our last night in the hospital. We’re looking forward to starting our routine at home and getting to know our little girl. Harrison has taken well to his little sister. He’s held her a few times and really seems to enjoy it. He’s going to be a great big bother.
Here are some pictures from the weekend in our hospital. Our dear friend Dorie came by and took some great pictures.

Liz and Charlotte are settled in their room at Reston hospital. We will probably stay here until Monday. Big brother Harry got a chance to meet his little sister before his nap time. He was very excited. Charlotte is resting peacefully, snug in my arms.
Our sincerest thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Eve Caulfield, born 6 March at 11:34am, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces. Mom and daughter are doing great.
Our friend Dorie has embarked on a photography business. To add to her growing portfolio, she did us the favor of taking pictures of our family last month. Lucky us! Below is my favorite of Harry. Please click on the picture to see several more in our photo gallery.
If you like what you see & are looking for a photographer for your own family pictures, follow this link to Dorie’s website: http://www.doriehowell.com/
Please contact her if you would like to set up a session at 703.766.8399 or info@howellstudios.com.
On Dorie’s website, our pictures are half way down, so scroll down to see Harry. If you have the time, take a look at her other pictures too. They’re lovely. Sydney is her daughter & is very photogenic.
There’s no doubt that kids today grow up in a mostly materialistic world. Even as parents, we fall into the trap that we can make our children happy by buying them things. So how do you teach a child to give freely and expect nothing in return?
This year our family has decided to make giving a recurring tradition during the Christmas season.  Each year our kids will determine on their own what they are going to give. This year Harry decided to give two goats to an African family.

Giving is so easy to do.
Considering giving this year through WorldVision.org
